The spending of foreign tourists exceeds 20,000M € until April

Between January and April, the total expenditure of international tourists who visited Spain increased by 15.3% compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 20,394 million euros, according to the Survey of Tourist Spending (Egatur) By the National Institute of Statistics (INE).

The issuing markets with the highest accumulated expenditure in these four months are the United Kingdom, with the main amount, 18.9% of the total; Followed by Germany, with 14%, and Nordic countries - Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden, with 10.5%

Especially noteworthy was the disbursement made by German tourists in April, up 33.7%, well above the British and French, with increases of 7.7% and 7.6%, respectively.

The autonomous communities of main destination with the highest accumulated expenditure are the Canaries, with 27.8% of the total; Catalonia, with 21%, and Andalusia, with 15.1%.
